Why is bid pending on HiBid? ›

PENDING BID If your bid is showing it is Pending, then Item "1" or Item "2" above have not been completed or your bidding amount is not set high enough to allow your bid to be accepted.

If you log into your account and see "You May Have Won" this actually means YOU WON. If you see "Outbid" this means you lost. This is how our system works so please understand that "YOU MAY HAVE WON" means you indeed won.

It is the responsibility of the buyer, not the auction company, to ensure that sales tax paperwork is complete, up to date, and on file, -BID RETRACTION: Bids cannot be retracted once the auction begins.

If you bid several days before the end of the auction that gives other bidders all the remaining time to find the listing and bid one or more times against your current showing bid. In the end, it is up to the Organization running the auction to decide whether to honor the request. If the winning bidder would like to back out after the close of the auction, you can offer the item to the next highest bidder, or close the item as Not Sold.

When you place the winning bid, you meet with the auctioneer to provide your contact information, how you want the property to vest (for example as an individual, a partnership, an LLC or a trust) and pay up. The auctioneer has the name of the trustee, to whom you sign over your cashier's checks.

Yes, you may end the listing by cancelling all bids. You may be charged a final value fee based on the amount of the highest bid, or you may sell the item to the highest bidder. If your listing isn't eligible to be ended early, you can contact any bidders to explain the situation and ask them to retract their bids.
