Can you read the necronomicon Fear and Hunger? ›

Listed in-game as "Ancient book", it can only be read once and the player learns either one of these skills: Necromancy, Blood Golem, Hurting, Black orb, and Blood Portal. However, it comes with a cost: a coin flip. Unlike other coin flips, lucky coins cannot be used- only one coin will be flipped.

To achieve this ending, the player has to keep The Girl alive in their party, travel through the mouth of the God of the Depths and reach The Heart of darkness, an area built out of corpses at the very bottom. A battle will initiate against The God of Fear & Hunger, winning which achieves Ending A.

You need to do a Coin-Flip, if won you can rest and save the game. If failed, you will face a guard. If you face the guard and beat him, you cannot immediately use the bed afterwards due to the effect of adrenaline in your blood, as you are too excited to sleep after a fight.

Giving her the Dagger / The Peculiar Doll found around the prisons will encite a reaction from The Girl, being grateful and most likely shocked from being shown kindness in her mostly bleak and torment-filled existence.

You can win with any character, but for beginners, my recommendations are Mercenary/Cahara or Knight/D'arce. If you want to avoid everything, choose Cahara. “Become a burglar” gives you lockpick, which means you don't need to worry about most locked doors.

You can find a book of enlightment (rare) or you can draw sigil of Fear and Hunger and save on the idol that will appear. On normal it's one save per idol, on easy it's three saves per idol. All sigils you can learn by reading corresponding skin bible. In general Termina is way less random than F&H 1.

The time is completely set until you sleep, you could idle in the same place for hours and it would still be day 1 morning. One fail state that is disastrous is getting caught murdering somebody by a contestant who restrains you, which sends you all the way to the end day 3 if it happens.

The Hexen Table allows you to do two things: Curse weapons and learn new skills. Regardless of what you do, you need Lesser Souls, which you can get by using a Soul Stone on any normal, non-named enemy corpse. Cursing weapons allows them to hit spectral enemies at the cost of 1-4 Lesser Souls.
