458-2222. HAAVE, Josef Benjamin Josef Benjamin Haave was born on January 05, 1910 at Trout Lake WA, USA. At the age of three years he moved with his family to a homestead at Weldon, Saskatchewan. After completing high school, he attended Normal School in Saskatoon and taught school for ten years In May of 1942 he married Selma Louise Aune of Kinistino, SK. Josef was a member of the first graduating class of Luther Theological Seminary in Saskatoon in 1942 and subsequently served as a pastor in parishes in Saskatchewan.

Alberta and British Columbia for almost thirty years. Joset had a wide range of interests, read extensively and possessed a sparkling sense of humour His hobby was tracing family histories and he prepared detailed family tree reports for his own family He was also able to use church records and his library to assist many families of Scandinavian heritage in western Canada in tracing their family origin. In 1968 Selma and Josef retired to New Westminster where they resided until moving to Edmonton in 1993. During his retirement years Josef served as a volunteer with the Federal Citizenship Court in Vancouver for more than 20 years. Josef died in Edmonton on September 25.

Born Hazel Hammond in Portugal Cove, Newfoundland, November 20, 1906. Youngest of five children. Hazel trained and received her R.N. from St. John's General Hospital.

After coming West with her first husband in 1936, she nursed privately and then at the General Hospital, Edmonton. She later nursed at the Aberhart Hospital first in the operating room and then as charge nurse until retirement in 1971. Hazel married Ralph Losie in 1973. Cremation has taken place. In 1963, he married his wife, Vera. They enjoyed 30 happy years of marriage and were blessed with one daughter. He was a responsible husband and a doting father.
