🎉 Exciting News Alert 🎉We're closing in on the finish line! As we approach the end of the 2024 Friends of PACC Calendar Contest, I'm thrilled to share that we've amassed a staggering $23,000 in donations for the Friends of Pima Animal Care Center (FoP). And guess what? We still have 4 days left to make an even bigger impact!Why is this cause so close to my heart? Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) does a remarkable job by taking in over 15,000 animals annually, without bias. They ensure that at least 90% of these animals find their forever homes. But this wouldn’t be possible without the support of FoP. They are the backbone, providing resources ranging from vets, special medical treatments, enrichment programs, a mobile vet unit, and more, showcasing the wonders that a municipal open intake shelter can achieve when equipped with the right tools.This marks the third year I've run this contest to rally our community in support of FoP's mission. My audacious target this year? A whopping $35,000 from the contest plus another $5,000 from calendar sales! This would eclipse the prior records, rivaling the total from the past two years combined. As the Humane Society of the United States continues to use the 14 pitbulls taken from a dogfighter in Gastonia #northcarolina for donations, a reminder:HSUS reported 259,519,738 in total revenue and 418,778,549 in net assets on its latest tax return;The ASPCA reported 389,934,885 in total revenue and 508,248,111 in net assets on its latest tax return; andBest Friends reported 125,326,390 in total revenue and 122,499,459 in net assets on its latest tax return. While millions of people were laid off during COVID, CEO Julie Castle gave herself a $129,000 raise. These are nonprofits. Moreover, these are people who claim to be animal advocates, yet they refuse to warn the millions of people rehoming pets that dogfighting is at an epidemic level, that dogfighters kill cats and kittens, that dogfighters don't just seek out free animals, as old-school rescues purport. In 2014, HSUS estimated that 250,000 pitbulls are fought each year. You can bet just as many #cats, kittens, rabbits and other animals -- if not more -- die as well. Shelters like the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelterare shutting down because people keep throwing money at the ASPCA, HSUS and Best Friends, which have NOTHING to do with local shelters. Today is World Stray Animal Day! 🐈🐕Meet Frodo, the lucky one amidst 680 million stray cats and dogs worldwide. Frodo, a red street cat from Croatia, found his happy ending, but sadly, many others are still struggling. At STRAYZ we're activists on a mission to change the lives of every street cat and dog out there. How do we do it? Through our products.
