Tyrone swimmer Deaten Registe has qualified for the men’s SB14 100m breaststroke at the Paralympic Games. Registe took fourth place in the second heat to edge Aymeric Parmentier of Belgium out of the top eight. He will now go on to compete in the final of the breaskstroke event, set to get underway at 5.13pm Irish time this evening. Speaking to RTE afterwards, he predicted an improvement in the final.
